So, I'm curious about who you ship beyond playable character/love interest (if anyone).

I have become ridiculously invested in Dorian/Bull ever since I first found out they hook up in game if you don't romance either of them.

I am also rather partial to Fenris/Anders, Fenris/Hawke/Anders and Nathaniel/Velanna

How about you guys? And if you want to suggest any art/fic/whatever for your pairings of choice by all means share

As per my silly icon, I'm a big fan of Hawke x Cullen. I got into the pair during DA2 and considered their development within that timeframe, but I also really like the idea of them reconnecting during Inquisition.

I really like Bethany Hawke with a lot of people, especially Isabela, Cullen, Nathaniel, and/or Alistair:
  • Pirate!Bethany and Isabela exploring the seas together? Yes, please.
  • Nathaniel or Alistair helping her acclimate to life in the Wardens is very appealing to me.
  • Cullen and Bethany developing a real deep bond (but probably never really acting on any attraction outside of maybe a forehead kiss) while in the Circle is one of my favorite things ever.

In DAI, I like Cassandra x Josephine, Cullen x Josephine, Cullen x Bull, and Cullen x Dorian. (Do you see a pattern? :D)

Alistair and Anora have kind of recently piqued my interest, too, after I saw them together in DAI. I like the enemies to lovers trope (and variations on it)--I think them slowly coming to respect and genuinely care about one another could be really lovely.

Hee, mine goes Josephine x Leliana, Josephine x player, Josephine x Blackwall ...

Josie's so lovely! ♥̮♥ She's a good one to have a shipping pattern with. Have you come across any good fics with her and Leliana?

There’s not a huge amount out there (or at least, I’ve not stumbled across it.)

I like this one for the details – the first section with the delicacy of the setting and verbal sparring and Leliana not being subtle at all, blinking her eyes and plying J with macaroons.

    “Oh, goodness.”

“She let slip something about the two of you climbing?”

Josephine sighs. “I assume we’re here now because you want me to-”

    “Tell me.”

This one is based on an AU idea - what if Josie was a hidden apostate – but it’s more about the two of them, bouncing against one another pre-Conclave, and growing together through the events of the game.

Thanks for the links! I haven't had a chance to read Charmed, but I did just read the first one--I love the back and forth between Leliana and Josie. I really like the characterization of her story-telling, too.

I’m heavily invested in Surana/Cullen atm. It’s a ship that snuck up on me as my first DAO PT was with Tabris (also rly into Tabris/Alistair).

My OT3 4 now and 4ever is Cullen/Samson/Loghain. I suggested the ship on a whim to [personal profile] renegadefolkhero as a writing prompt and I’ve been smitten ever since.

I’ve also entertained Anders/Finn as a ship because they grew up together in the Circle, yet are very different people. I totally head canon that it was Anders that started calling Finn “Florian.” (I kinda imagine him as a bit of a bully actually.)

I also really like f!Mahariel/Velanna and Solavellan.

Oh, and Surana/Everyone, or rather half of the companions + some NPCs. Morrigan, Zevran, Leliana, Loghain, Sebastian, Samson, Merrill, Isabela, Josephine, Vivienne, Blackwall, and Harding (and a hateship w/ Solas).

    Basically? Everyone/everyone. :-P

    A few of my favorites include Alistair/Anora, Alistair/Zevran, Anders/Fenris, Anders/Nathaniel, Anders/Sebastian, Bethany/Isabela, Cassandra/Varric, Cullen/Dorian, Dagna/Sera, Dorian/Iron Bull, and Josephine/Leliana.

    For non-canon romances involving the playable characters, I'm a big fan of Cullen/F!Amell or Surana, Anders/Amell or Surana, Cousland/Nathaniel, F!Brosca/Sigrun, F!Hawke/Varric, F!Inquisitor/Harding, F!Mahariel/Velanna, and F!Trevelyan/Solas.

But, seriously, everyone/everyone. All it takes is one good fic to convince me of the possibility of a specific 'ship. :-P

Your list of ships interests me greatly. I'm a huge fan of Cullen/Surana and Fenris/Anders, but all of these fascinate.

I tend to be an everyone/everyone shipper because the writer in me likes the challenge of figuring out how to tell a story about two people when their names are randomly pulled from a hat. For instance, I never end thought of Carver/Isabela but when I was challenged to write them for a rare pair exchange, an idea bit and I love this rarepair ship.

As first ship that hooked me on the DA series was (and still is) Surana/Cullen, although I tend I ship Surana/everyone. I am a hard core fan of Hawke/Cullen (my main OTP of the series).

Ships of interest & writer fuel (actual and potential) include:
Hawke/Wesley (as an alternate DA2 story)
Anora/Alistair (where Alistair also has a mistress)
Varric & Isabela writers circle night
Plus any crack fic about Zevran/Wynne's Bosom

I saw Carver/Merrill once way back and it's probably one of my favorite background ships. I also like Fenris/Isabela.

I forgot to add these to my list. Both are quiet background ships but they have much potential for exploration.

It's true, they definitely do. I haven't written them myself (yet?), but I do certainly enjoy reading them.

It wasn't till Trespasser that I thought on potential ship, but I *love* the idea of it (I haven't looked for fanfics that go there (see: nano), but I'd totally write some myself...eventually!):
    Trespasser *spoiler*: Sera/Dagna
